I went for simplicity on this assignment. The idea behind this design is centered around a CAST IRON knuckle, over the traditional brass knuckle. If your lucky enough not to knock someone out with one punch, you might be able to get not only GAME stamped onto the unlucky aggressors face but GAME OVER. A painful reminder of the speedy balance of lighter weight iron over heavy weight brass. Gold has been plated onto the chamfered edges and lettering. The unlucky aggressor might have a chance to turn his luck around with a new set of grills.
I found the use of cutplane, split, trim, extrudecrv, and offsetsrf the most useful commands in this assignment. I used cutplane to create a surface for the knuckles to rest on for keyshot, but found the reflection too strong and did not compliment the knuckles. When using render passes, I found it difficult to create the cast iron look of the knuckles which were easier to create by only manipulating the materials on keyshot. The gold accents went well with the cast iron look. RUGGED CLASS.
