For my ring design, I wanted to create a classic yet beautiful diamond ring.  I chose to go with a platinum band, as I personally do not like the look of gold jewelry.  For the gem itself, I went with a classic hexagonal shape which would catch light and reflections beautifully.  I enjoyed rendering in passes in photoshop much more than I thought I was going to, as it allows more control and definition than keyshot alone does.  I also like the effects that the reflections gave to my rendering because of the materials I chose.
