Janae' Javis: Vaquita Chaise

A vaquita is a rare porpoise. This design is inspired by their shape and the underwater ripple effect.  The purpose is to not only design a tubular chair influenced by Greek and Victorian furniture, but also to raise awareness about the endangered species, you can learn more about them from the World Wildlife Fund.

Final Ad

One of my inspirations lately has been a bomber seat.  Part of America's design roots come from simple beginnings and this is where this chair started.  These are some progress shots before I post my final product.
