When designing this lamp, I was being inspired by simple, organic forms, such as honeycomb and pine cone. I always like their patterning and wanted to achieve something similar with my lamp design. I purposely made my lamp dense in order to conceal the presence of the light bulb inside. My goal is to find a non-flammable material that could go inside and cover the inner walls of the lamp.

Karla Ronaszegi: week 9 Lamp
This is my table lamp. I used Grasshopper in rhino to create it. I had a problem with my notches being on the wrong side, a few others did as well. That was an easy fix for me though. I mirrored the pieces and trimmed them into place deleting the extra pieces. I wanted something symmetrical but unique in shape. I enjoyed making this lamp so much! I look forward to making many more and experimenting with shapes.
