The inspiration for this castle design came from medieval castles. The modeling techniques used to execute this design were mostly geometric primitives. I found it to be the most useful to create solids from curves and surfaces instead of using the solids tools. The materials I chose were directly taken from pictures I found online from castles of this time. They were mostly made of stone and brick.
Changes made in resubmission: First, I removed the grid from all the images. Then I made sure to zoom in and created a bit of an offset composition. I also added 2 rendered views from Rhino without the materials applied in addition to a rendered Keyshot view.
I bet you never thought that simple could be so beautiful. Nice work.
