Christina Byun : week6 ring

My ring i named as Ring Tx, and it is triple rings that person can either wear one or more, the main ring(biggest one) is made with metal and plastic at the edges, and other thin rings are the glass looking plastic material to give less weigh. i used several colors in different areas to create more choices to the picker. i tried to give more information of the rings, therefore i add orthographic views( front, side, and top views), and closed up pictures.

Karla Ronaszegi: Week 6 Ring

This is my white gold engagement ring, male and female. I went for a very simple design. I used Boolean difference to create the negatives and i used filleting to create softer edges. I struggled to put the diamond in but After many attempts I figured out the problem. I brought it in from online and it brought an extra layer in the inside of the diamond.

My printed ring was not casted with much detail. the center piece got filled seems as if there was some type of leak.

Jeannie Fung: Week 6 Ring

I played with a simple ring and used array polar with pipe to create the details on the side. The stones were built using just the circle shape tool and edited with mesh to nurb command. I played with lower end materials like wood and cooper. I'm not very fond of diamonds so I attempted another ring with more geometric cutouts.

The concept behind creating this ring was to make an engagement ring, but a modern twist so all age groups could chose their stones and wear it as a day to to day ring. One can wear it separately or as a statement piece where the ring can be worn by itself. The materials can be chosen by one to custom make their ring.

The ColoRing is not only a ring for all ages but it is a statement piece for energetic children, eclectic teens and fashionable professionals. The ring itself is made of a hard scratch poof plastic that can be easily cleaned and worn in all weather conditions. Selecting ring style, a range of colors, stud shapes/materials and color arrangements there are endless possibilities for the ColoRing allowing anyone to express their personal style whether they are attending a work outing, boat party, fashion show or play date. The mood ring offers the single finger and the double knuckle finger style which is a hint of class and sass.

Chelsea Guthrie ELDS 205 - Rings

I wanted to make three simple rings to give to my friends that I went to school with in Italy. We all have super different tastes so i stuck with a basic engraving. The phrase in boca al lupo means "in the mouth of the wolf", it's a way of saying good luck.

Christopher Roper ELDS-205 Ring

This ring was inspired by the thought of never letting something go. No matter how much you try to run away you still cant let go of your promise that ties two people be it father and daughter or between two friends. The center ring symbolizes the promise between to people and the outer rings symbolizes no matter how much it seem we are apart our promise is what keeps us together. This ring symbolizes that promise no matter how much the seasons seem different their promise to come is what keeps them together.
Winters promise.

Vitaliy Pankov: Week 6 Ring

I have designed two engagement rings: one for a male, and another for a female. Both share similar structure, materials, and are decorated with ornaments that flow along the diameter. I have tried to utilize as many techniques that we have learnt in this class so far as possible. While building those models, I also paid close attention to the smoothness of the surfaces and used Zebra tool to evaluate all major surfaces. I wish I knew more about Rhino so that I can push the envelope even farther, yet, I am still satisfied with the result. I created different renderings with rings placed into different environments. In some of them I was trying to deliver the idea of so-called "teaser" shots.

Chiwon Lee : Week 6 Ring

This ring is inspired by a ring that I saw in a jewelry shop really long time ago. With silver band it gives refreshing feeling and is adequate as a summer jewelry. I also carved my name inside to give personalized feeling.

Zoe Leung: Week 6 Ring

It's an elegant ring featuring organic ripple motifs, which catches the light and shimmers beautifully. The focal point is the small diamond in the middle of the ring that stands out among the motifs. The design is geared towards simplicity and elegance, where nothing will be exaggerated. I employed a variety of surface tools and "flow along surface" command for modelling. The lighting environment chosen in KeyShot showcases the elegance and fluidity of the design.
