Eris Muller Week 5: Glasses

The name of my glasses are Mr. Goat since they are designed for older men. The glasses have a scientific feel to them due to the diagonal edges and the round glass. I choose these materials because they are old and natural looking to reflect the users preferences. The wood is black walnut, the slits are ginger bronze, the glasses frame and the hinges are called cappuccino craz, the bolts are nickel scratched, and the nose piece is clear shiny plastic - dark umber.  I mostly used mirror for half of the glasses, boolean difference, a fillet edging.

Eris Muller: Week 5 USB

My idea of a usb doesn't pertain to the perception of what a typical usb drive looks like. Mine is modeled after a grenade and when the key top is pulled out it reveals the usb inside. The metal ring can be attached to your backpack or key. The material is matte paint. I mostly used polar array for the grip, fillet edge for the grip, and extrude surface. I choose the stark white background to increase the contrast between the grenade to make it stand out as much as possible.

Eris Muller: Week 2 Duck

For the duck, my inspiration came from my bike light. It has a rubber clasp that secures the light to the handlebars. The most important modeling technique that I used in my design was manipulating the control points, and adding more to get the desired shapes. The eyes of the duck are the lights, and when the clasp is connected, a trigger goes off and activates it. I did not want to choose a completely different looking material so I used the simple green and brown.
