Andrea Banegas Week 9: Shoe

For my shoe design I decided to design a pair of sandals. These sandals are specially made for the beach. They are easy to put in and more importantly they are very comfortable. I chose this color because this way you can combine them with which ever cloth you want. To model them I used curves and extrude them, pipes and the boolean union command. For my material I decided to use leather, but they should really be made with a material that can get wet without ruin them.

For my camera design I was inspired by the nikon J1. I love white cameras and this is why I chose to render it white. Even though I was inspired by the nikon I still decided to change some aspects of it. My design has some curves towards the front. I created my camera by using curves and then extrude them. Then I used boolean union to make it one piece.  I chose white and black plastic and silver as my material.

I got this idea when Professor Scott said that if you were going to make flipflop, it better be an interesting one, so I made flip flop jumping stilts. They are made of hard plastic and carbon fiber. The clap up top holds you leg in place and the strap on the toe holds your foot down.

Javier Prado Week 10: Shoe

For The Shoe I wanted to go with something simple and I decided to make a loafer shoe. This style of shoe is simple yet elegant and can be combined with many colors and textures due to the simplicity of the design.

Javier Prado Week 10: Camera

For This project I based my camera on the very popular Nikon 1. I chose this camera because I've always enjoyed using it. Its a small camera with the power of a DSLR.

Connor Mannina Week 10: Shoe

For my shoe I decided that I wanted to make a wrestling shoe. My inspiration came from a pair of my old wrestling shoes which were my favorite. I followed some of the elements like gold piping around the tongue and the vertical motion the Adidas stripes give the shoe. Even though the original shoes were Adidas I decided I wanted to make mine Nike to switch it up a bit. The bottom of the shoe has special tread to be super grippy. The tongue of the shoe also has a pocket for you to put your laces to keep them out of the way.

Connor Mannina Week 10: Camera

When i was making this camera I wanted to give the face some complex geometry. I made the lens an oval to slightly distort the picture giving things fort of a fish eye effect. The camera is water proof and is supposed to be designed for some rugged situations. Overall it is a longer camera then most and has a very wide screen to encompass the elongated lens.

Week 9 Shoe: Jay Gibson

Decided to design my shoe around the idea of something casual, but still looks nice.
Used a lot of Sweep2 and project to get the main body parts of the shoe. For stitching, I used
the offset curve on surface command to get a line to orient my stitches on to. The laces were done
using the loft command. For rendering, I chose suede for the main body outside, and a more
durable cloth material for the inside. The layers around the outside are synthetic leather for the
front and back pieces and a soft plastic for the sides.

David Johnson Week 10 Shoe

For my shoe I wanted a regular sneaker but with a twist. To build my shoe I followed the video tutorials. After I created my shoe that's where the real fun began. Keyshot! I was messing around with materials when I came back to my old favorite, wood. But what type of shoe is made out of wood? A clog of course. I was going to make it a sports clog but then Nitika suggested that I make a wooden peg leg for a pirate. And even though the idea was a joke I liked it! So here is my wooden peg leg with matching pirate clog. Even Blackbeard has a pair!

The concept behind this design was to create a stylish, professional, and comfortable shoe that can be worn casually or in an office environment.  The majority of professional shoes currently on the market are unattractive and uncomfortable for long days in the office.  This design employs a rubberized heel, where the cutout and springy sole, along with the front platform allow for all-day comfort of wear.  The muted color palette allows the style to remain office-appropriate, but the neutrals and basic design make it easy to transition from day to night as well.
