Briana Mateo: Week 6 Sunglasses

My design for these sunglasses were inspired last year when I use to play softball for the SCAD Bees. I was in the outfield and I was listening to music during practice but my headphones kept getting wrapped up in my arms and falling out. I really wished that there was an easier way to listen to my music and still be comfortable running around. I came up with sunglasses that would be able to curve around your ears and stay on your head nice and snug no matter how fast you run. The right red button controls the on/off settings and the left would control the volume.
I traced the drawings with cylinders that I lofted. For the lenses I made a surface and trimmed it and rebuilt it to make the lenses curved and coming out, so if someone was wearing them their eyelashes wouldn't brush against them. I really enjoyed this project and hopefully one day these will make it in the real world.
