I wanted to go for a more organic shape that would fit the hand. The Olympic theme came about randomly and it fit the style of the light. I started with the basic shape that Professor Scott gave us, made a section view, and transformed the shape with the control points. I added a light to the bulb in Keyshot and made the glass transparent to give the flashlight the quality of being usable.
Edit: Changed the C Plane in rhino to World Top. Added Name and object name. Changed views. Duplicated the bulb; made one glass and the other light effect. Still not getting desired lighting but still better.
