Aligning and Trimming |
Ana Soto and I chose to create a perfume bottle out of organic shapes. The bottle was fit to the size of the hand and the top featured an asymmetry design. It is the perfume bottle of the future, as described by its name: Parfum d'Avenir. The colors I chose reflected a fun floral scent I imaged would fill the design. A fresh scent for the trendsetting girl!
The scanning process was difficult especially because the computer crashed one day and wouldn't restart till the next day fortunately. My favorite part was trimming and aligning the meshes together. Our foam model was very rough, so once in Rhino, after Rapidworks, I chose to rebuild the bottle using the 3D scan to serve as model for features, scale and shape.
Overall, I am very proud I was able to complete the perfume bottle especially because of the complexity of the scanner, as well as, the programs.
