Lily Karatzas: Week 10 Shoe Project
I was inspired by the classic, casual loafer. I modeled this shoe by creating a shoe last with curves and sweep2. I then projected lines onto this form to create an opening. I offset projected surfaces and made these into the leather bands around the shoe. For the stitching I used a pipe and arrayed it on the surface. Lastly, I used sweep1 with a square cross section to create the laces and tassels. In Keyshot, I added leather to the shoe and changed the color to white. Next, I used a potato sack texture and scaled the pattern and turned it blue. Furthermore, the soles are rubber and the laces are a light brown leather. Lastly, I added a front shoe size label and a large pattern label to the top of the shoe box. I then turned my lighting brightness down and my contrast slightly up and rendered my models.
