Christina Byun : week6 ring

My ring i named as Ring Tx, and it is triple rings that person can either wear one or more, the main ring(biggest one) is made with metal and plastic at the edges, and other thin rings are the glass looking plastic material to give less weigh. i used several colors in different areas to create more choices to the picker. i tried to give more information of the rings, therefore i add orthographic views( front, side, and top views), and closed up pictures.

Vitaliy Pankov: Week 6 Ring

I have designed two engagement rings: one for a male, and another for a female. Both share similar structure, materials, and are decorated with ornaments that flow along the diameter. I have tried to utilize as many techniques that we have learnt in this class so far as possible. While building those models, I also paid close attention to the smoothness of the surfaces and used Zebra tool to evaluate all major surfaces. I wish I knew more about Rhino so that I can push the envelope even farther, yet, I am still satisfied with the result. I created different renderings with rings placed into different environments. In some of them I was trying to deliver the idea of so-called "teaser" shots.

For this assignment I designed a ring inspired in the "stacking" ring sets. I rendered the texture by adding a new wood texture to my key shot material library as I wanted a really specific texture for my design. When adjusting the wood texture I added a back-plate texture of the same wood grain but with a high contrast, to make the wood look more realistic.

"Madeiro" sunglasses (Multiple key shot closeup views)

For this assignment I wanted to make an avant-garde geometric design of sunglasses, with a retro quality about them.
