Andrea Young: Week 1 Castle

Set in a future century where castles are designed with sharp angles and sleek materials, I set out to create a hovering castle that embodies the design principles of repetition, balance and unity. My work was inspired by Jorn Utzon, who designed the Sydney Opera House. The triangular pieces make up the base structure of the building. They are unified by the boxes and deck levels. I enjoyed adding fun additions the structure like the stairway with the slide and the thrones.
