For this design i went with something i would like to wear. I love rings, i especially like stackable rings. Also i am a fan of very delicate jewelry. I decided to go with a simple design that could be customizable. The main concept of this is a letter with embedded crystals or diamonds, and the customizable part is that the customer can decided on the material, gold, rose gold, silver or platinum, as well as the letter and the embedded stones. These rings as they are very thin and delicate, they can be stackable, for example i made my own initials to show a way of wearing it. Or also someone could buy the initial of their loved one and wear it along with theirs.

When doing this ring i mainly used the fillet edges tool to make everything smooth. The challenge in this design was making the diamond. I looked at a couple of tutorials online about making precious stones, but these were not really helpful or they were simply too confusing. I decided to make the diamond using polylines and sweep2. I overlapped two squares and rotated them to create the basic shape of the top of the diamond, after this i traced the main shape using a polyline. I placed a control point in the center of this shape and i moved it slightly up to create the shape of the front face. I used sweep2 to create each of the surfaces. then to create the edge of the diamond, i used the outside edges of theo ctagon i had created to make triangles all around the shape and used sweep2 to make them into surfaces, then i finished the edge by using sweep2 to fill in the adjacent triangles. For the bottom part of the diamond i placed a control point and i made polylines joining the corners of the top part with this point to create the bottom shape of the triangle.

As stated before, the material is customizable, it could be either 18K Gold, Silver or Rose Gold. This way making it a very elegant and classy piece which could be dressed up or down, as well as a great gift for someone special. The material of the crystals, in keyshot, is diamond, but as this is a customizable ring, the customer could decide on using other stones like cubic zirconia or diamonds, so it can be accessible for a wider audience.
