UPDATE: Added light into printed flashlight! The melted plastic from using the dremel creates a cool sort of "venn diagram" like pattern with the light when turned on.

UPDATE: A 3D printed version of my flashlight has been made! The original design came out perfectly in the printed design. The model has the dimensions of 6.97" x 2.07" x 2.07". The only design flaw that my flashlight had was that I forgot to create an insert for the actual flashlight! Oops. I may go back and print a second version. As of now, with the printed flashlight I have, I'm most likely going to paint the flashlight with the colors I had envisioned in my keyshot design.

 For my Flashlight, I wanted to create a wintery design with cooler hues and tints and I was also inspired by the abstract oil paintings of Eric Nye. Nye paints and blends shapes to look as if they were melting or gooey which is what I wanted to mimic with my flashlight body. I envision the target market of my flashlight to be younger children, hence the bright colors and playful form. Projecting curves and using the pipe method was on of my favorite parts of modeling the flashlight, but I also enjoyed playing with the form of the flashlight using techniques such as blending curves and filleting edges. In Keyshot, I chose both hard and clear plastic for the build of the flashlight. The lighting was also adjusted to show what the flashlight would look like in use.
