Justin Montan: week 10 Shoe

Because snowboarding makes me happy, I really wanted to make a snowboarding boot.  There are not many shoes that look or feel like snowboarding boots.  My mother once told me "You can tell a lot about a man just by looking at his shoes."  That quote was unrelated, but there is a big difference between warn down vs polished shoes when trying to make a good impression.  Anyway, these boots were inspired by a Nike sneaker, Air Unlimited.  by understanding the basic movement of the shoe, I developed the curves to replicate the curves on the Air Unlimiteds.  In Rhino,  many commands were used, maybe all of them. But, to make all the curves on the shoe I simply projected them.  Initially, I was going to make a shoe that was not symmetrical and that also had straps.  I exnayed that idea, and approached the design symmetrically.  In Keyshot, I contemplated on using an array of materials, but settled and narrowed it down to mostly leather and moldtech.
