Marc Fleischmann: Week 10 - Shoe

I am one of these persons that has alway problems with finding a pair of shoes that really fits. My feet are pretty wide in the front and I have flatfeet - obviously this is not the standard shape of a foot. This becomes even more to a problem when it comes to sports shoes. I like to go mountain biking a lot and finding the right bike shoes is very hard for me, so far I have found only one or two brands that sell shoes that fit for me. When you're riding your bike for several hours, the shoes must not hurt anywhere, they have to be perfect. S I decided to design a shoe for mountainbiking, that fits to my feet.
This shoe is meant to be for Cross Country mountain biking, not yet a super stiff race model but sturdy enough for efficient pedaling and still flexible enough to be comfortable and easy to walk with. The white shell is made out of stiff platics while the orange parts at the top and sides are designed in breathable, soft materials to increase the level of comfort. The sole's profile will give you the grip you need when you have to walk on a rough hiking trail where you have to carry your bike for a few meters. Also this shoe is ready for a Shimano SPD click pedal system, it comes with the required notches in the sole for M5 screws.

The most important commands that I had to use during this project were all tools that allow to draw on surfaces and the project/pull command. I splitted and offseted the surfaces with the lines I created before. Especially the Rebuild command was helpful to get nice and clean curves.
