For my inspiration I looked at my
Ace Rip Hammer, mine does not have the serrated/beveled strike face though. I used curves, lofting, and extrusions to create the hammer head. I used the rebuild tool and used control points to change the shape of the head as well as the handle. The edges that would be handled (Not the claw) are filleted. My hammer has sharp, straight edges on the claw section, so I left them alone on the model. For materials I used light oak for the handle, and a textured steel for the head. The nails are galvanized and the wooden plank is a heavy grained polished wood material.
