For my hammer, I drew inspiration from the ice axes climbers use to assist themselves when climbing an ice wall, both for grip, and for hammering piton into the wall for anchors. The structures of the hammer are all extruded from lines, I used boolean tools to attain some of the geometry and I filleted the edges. As for materials, the hammer is mostly painted aluminum, while the hammer head and picks are milled steel. The grip is a hard plastic and the  "soft touch" material.
