Benjamin Osborn - Week 2 - Duck Tea Kettle

After looking at the shape of the simple rubber duck, I decided a tea kettle was an appropriate way to go.  I really liked how smooth and simple the base form was, and wanted to continue with that.  The Top part of the bill is attached to a hinge, and when the kettle is tipped the lid opens under its own weight. A small hole in the top of the head acts as a whistle to signal a boil.  The Trim, Split, and Project commands were very useful in this model. In Keyshot I wanted emphasize the smoothness.  The majority of the kettle is a matte black. I then added gloss paint on the handle, wings, and beak.
