Elliott Lane: Week 2 Flashlight

For my flashlight design, I was inspired by wooden lathe work, specifically that of chess pieces and posts. I wanted to design something with many curves and places for the hand to grip. I chose the materials nickel, glass, and wood to make the design more interesting both to the eye and to the hand. I kept in mind being succinct with my distribution of materials on the object, and the tools I used most to create this light were the curve and fillet tools.
