For my duck design, I started with the form of the duck itself and used the direction I was going in to determine what the object would be used for. After finding a pleasing shape, I began thinking of ergonomics and how nice it would be to hold were it hand-sized. I played with a few ideas and came up with turning the duck into the head of a gearshift. I used primarily metals for the entire device to make it visually appealing and easy to clean. Using only several reserved accents, I kept the materials few. I enjoyed using the control points and rebuild tools to make some really neat shapes.
