Lily Karatzas: Week 3 Flashlight.

My design was primarily influenced by DeWalt power tools. DeWalt power tools often include a bright yellow color. However, these tools still maintain an industrial, masculine look. I attempted to imitate this design in my flashlight model. My flashlight incorporates the entire small flashlight in a short, stocky design. In my design I frequently used polar array and Boolean2objects. Furthermore, I added a small pipe to give the model some motion around the object. In Keyshot I primarily used a polished chrome for the exterior of the flashlight. I also added shiny yellow plastic highlights to the grips, accents, and buttons. Lastly, I turned the lighting on the model down lower so the light from the lens of the flashlight would be more notable. This flashlight cost thirty dollars to 3D print at Gulfstream Digilab.
