Billy Nisbet: Week1 Castle

In making my castle, I wanted something different than the norm. I wanted a new twist on egyptian forms. By breaking up the traditional pyramid, adding columns, and cutting a skylight I was able to introduce light into the usually dark pyramid. Lounge areas are vital, so I included a pool to cool off.

In modeling, I used the shape extrudes most often. To achieve a negative form i performed an extrude with a boolean difference. I Split some of the forms, in order to change their materials.

I wanted a hot sun overhead, but with a somewhat ominous sky to go behind the black pillars holding up the granite semi-pyramid. For the water, I used a light colored plastic. and for the tan, I used soft touch.
