Daniel Wiedenmann: Flashlight

The Inspiration for this project was once again taken from Lord of the Rings, same as my Castle. I toyed with the sword shapes and claw like protrusions again. The gold circle at the base represents the ring.

The most useful commands for me in this model were the snipping and joining tools. I also made use of the polyline tool to create the shapes of the claws and swords, and then polar arrayed both. And finally this model called for lots of use from the fillet and chamfer tools.

The materials I used are a black metal for the majority of the flashlight, and used gold for the ring and swords, and ruby for the clawed protrusions. I chose the gold materials because the ring in the movie is actually gold, and I wanted them to be the focus. I picked the ruby for the claws because I assumed it would catch and refract the light well.
