When I designed this lamp I had mainly two goals: First of all I tried to create my lamp in a way that there is enough space between the planes, so that there can actually get light through them. I think this should be the most important aspect, who needs a beautifully looking lamp that does not let out any light from the bulb. My second goal was to end up with a shape that also supports the light emission and still is attractive at the same time. This lamp combines elegant, flowing curves with more angularly designed outer edges, that results in a both modern but still a kind of rural style, as it does not necessarily look like it was created in a CAD program and a laser cutter. The material for the laser cut model will be luan wood, in the rendering I used walnut wood to give the lamp a noble look. Design and size of the lamp make it fit almost everywhere, no matter if it is a desk or if you put it right next to you bed.
I created this model by using two cones that are devided by a cylinder, for the feet I used the revolve tool. All my planes where created either with the section or contour command.
