For my tube chair I decided to think outside the box. I found this picture and decided to model it in rhino.
For the construction I would assume that the noodles would be connected with thick wire pushed into the noodles. So I didn't focus on how they would connect, but just made sure that each noodle was the proper shape and that they don't intersect anywhere.
I played around with the materials a lot to get the right look. turns out that large cell foam is not some thing that is typically used in keyshot. So I found an image of the foam online and used it as a bump map for a rubber material. I also adjusted everything about the rubber material, making it completely custom to give it the right look.
