I especially liked the origami take to the lamp. Not knowing how to replicate that in this project due to the planar aspect I changed my concept to a two tiered design, seeing that this lamp had mainly two layers of triangular folds. I decided to do alternating planes in each tier.
To model this in Rhino I began from curves then changed them to planar surfaces. From there I applied the piping method I learned in class. I achieved the cut out notches through many split commands then preformed a massive unroll. After everything was flattened I organized the curves on a space the size of my board and sent it to be cut.
