I wanted my chair design to be a chair that was all one piece of pipe.  The curves that support the wight through the legs come around to the armrests and go down the back for one large support structure.  I wanted to focus on curvilinear structures again, but went a little boxier on the cushions.  The materials I selected were to make it a more luxurious and special experience to sit in the chair.
