Brendan Faulkner: Week 4 USB Drive

The USB drive was a very difficult peace to work on and I felt I needed to put some more time into this one than last project. The Inspiration I used for this USB would give men and women who are in a high position in their live a beautiful elegant product to by. The top cover can be personalized to the individuals initials to show others that it is theirs.

The different commands I use though out this project were fillet edge and sweep2 boolean difference make hole and ex-set-era. The image below gave me a a reference and scale to make my USB from. This is a very tactile way to model and I would like to use latter on in different projects.

The materials I used happened to be a Dark wood for the protecting casing. The insert of the USB is made out of titanium and inside is a blue plastic. The body of the USB is gold with a small use of texture to bring out the gold used. Last is the initials, also using gold.
