John Sibert Week 6: Ring project

For my 3d printed jewelry assignment I chose to design a wearable pendant necklace. I used a sun / solar system motif in the design with a top bale and bottom amulet section. I wanted to create something that appeared religious in a way.

For the model I started by using the revolve command which I used many times after. I drew a lot of my curves, and used a bunch of filleting. many of the extrusions I used gave me trouble.

For my materials in the rendering I chose to make it look like a piece of wood that could have been turned on a lathe, and then used jade for inlays to give it a more valuable look.
