Marcus Van Gorden - Week 7 Form Exploration

For this week's assignment I wanted to explore a few different forms that would allow me to experiment with both hanging and standing lamps. I made a series of shapes from polysurfaces, revolved curves and a variety of other techniques. I used boolean commands to make them a single shape. Next I contoured them, then added sections for the verticals. I found that I really preferred the forms that would lend themselves to becoming hanging lights as these wouldn't require a base and allow you to play with a wider variety of forms.
