Benjamin E. Lieber // SCADLAX Groundball Hog
Presenting the Groundball Hog trophy. This finally crafted gold and pearl trophy is a ring for the champion who earns it. The man who out-played all and earned himself the title of "Groundball Hog." It represents the guy who got down and did the dirty work. It IS the most respectable stat honor in lacrosse.
This ring is designed to boast the man who earned the right to wear it. It isn't overly large but it certainly isn't slim and sleek. On the top is "GB' which stands for "Groundball." Along the sides are the words "Hog" and "SCADLAX" (Go Bees!). On the side are white pearls that represent the rock itself, the medicine, the lacrosse ball. On the bottom inside the ring is slightly raised line work of the hog himself.
I enjoyed making this project. I came across a fun concept that I was into. I plan to use my 3D printed ring as a trophy ring for Groundball Hog of the game for SCAD Men's Lacrosse. The player who collects the most groundballs in a game is honored the ring during postgame and can keep it until the next game.
On this project I found myself getting much better at rendering. I can't wait to go back and re-work my previous work from throughout this quarter having learned what I did about rendering.
