I intended my design to be a ring, but also a defense mechanism. Not only does this ring cover the end of your finger like a thimble, it can be a fashion statement. I was inspired by animal jewelry I've seen in the past so I wanted to make something that I would personally wear. I know the shark may seem nice with a smile, but the tip is sharp as a knife and can poke anyone's eye out instantly.
I simply created an ellipsoid and rebuilt it so it had several curve points that I could then manipulate into the shape of the shark. After the shape was complete, I used booleanunion to hollow out a similar shape so the ring was wearable. I then fillet'd all the edges to give it a smooth finish.
While in keyshot, I was trying to focus on a clean sterling silver look that was sharp and chic looking. I tried to offer several different views that showed the dynamic shape of my ring. I used some of the passes in photoshop to get a more intense gloss look in the end.
