Brian Kuo Week 4 Detergent
When I was working on the tutorial for the detergent, my primary goal was to make the bottle curvier than what the tutorial had. I also wanted it to look distinct from other brands and yet still be recognizable as a bottle of detergent. When I finally put on the screw top from the other tutorial, I had it on a layer that was red, and it looked like a top hat. Therefore, Red Hat detergent was born.
I used a lot of freeform modeling and control point editing to make this model. I also used Boolean union to connect the screw to the rest of the bottle.
I chose a somewhat bright green plastic because it is not a color used by many major brands for detergent. It also contrasts well with the red of the screw top.
