Mia Riefkohl: Week 5 Detengent

Detengent

I wanted to design a bottle the could hold a large amount of detergent and would distribute the weight evenly. The design was meant to be organic, subtle and practical. It was also important that the form would compliment the way the user held the bottle in a comfortable way.
I followed the tutorial to make this model. Mainly using curves to draw the outline and the Sweep 2 command to make the surfaces. A lot of extrusion to make the organic, negative spaces and fillet tool for the edges. The helix tool and pipe tool were used to create the screw cap.
The materials chosen when intended to be compatible with the practicality of the design and simplicity. The silver body is meant to symbolize a fresh, clean surface reference the functionality of the product.
