USB
Drive
The USB Drive project inspiration was
jewelry. I wanted to design a USB for women that was a stylish alternative to the
typical office supply products available. The glossy USB accessory offers women
a choice.
In order to make the USB I used the bit
map command and imported the image. I used solids that I Boolean union-ed/differenced
and trimmed (projectile piece) for smooth transitions. I also projected the form
to the surface of the device.
The materials selected were designed to
resemble high end cosmetic packaging. I wanted women to equate my USB drive
with products they enjoy purchasing. The colour choices were used to create a
dramatic elegant presentation.
