Ryan Quinn: Week 4 USB
The USB drive is based right from the modeling for a bitmap tutorial. I think i accomplished this task pretty well. This being said there was no real inspiration for the form of the object, but there was in the materials.
I used many commands for this model. The newest one was the offset command, which helped start the development of the internal and external parts of the usb drive. I used the trim command many times as well, along with sweeping to show the inside offset of the usb, and of course, filleting.
The material of the main exterior of the usb is anodized blue. The interior and the input head where both chrome. This was to try to look like an actual part, before any where and tear of course. The interior rectangles are copper, along with the usb logo. I loved how the copper and anodized blue complimented each other. The section between the logo and the main exterior is a black plastic, which helps frame the logo.
