For my sunglasses I wanted to create a shape that was classic and could be worn on a daily occasion. I wanted the glasses to have a big boxy frame that creates a lot of coverage over your eyes. I also wanted them to be pretty conserved and not very flamboyant.
For my process I started with the curves for the lenses. I used crv2view with another arc to create the curve. Then I extruded that curve and split it with the first extruded curve to add body to the glasses. for the lenses I extruded the inside curve a small amount and then joined it to the rest of the frame. I made the legs of the glasses in the same manner. I then created a hinge to connect them all together so they would function correctly.
For materials I chose a black plastic. I chose this because it is a very common color and I feel it compliments the style of the glasses well. I went with a textured black plastic on the inside to create more friction on your head and hopefully this will allow them to stay on and not fall off. For the lenses I went with a clear grey plastic. On the hinges I used chrome to add strength.
