Alex Bilzerian_ Week2_ Duck

 Ghosted Veiew

 Birds-Eye View

Ants-Eye View

The direction I took for the creation of this duck was towards the world of toys. It evolved into more of a gag-gift/paper weight that could go on the desk of many different appeals. Although I'm satisfied with how the duck came out, there are many different things that I would have liked to do with it in terms of experimenting.

The construction of the duck is surprisingly simple. When I was starting off with just two spheres, one for the head and one for the body, I never anticipated where I was lead to. Rhino has surprised me once again at it's versatility, in this case with organic shapes.

Bringing this model into Keyshot  is what ended up changing the overall purpose of what this duck would be used for. After changing the body material from plastic to bronze the duck went from child's toy to a paperweight intended to make young adults laugh. This project was a lot of fun and I can't wait for the next one.
