For this project I used mostly cylinders to form the flashlight, I also repeated layers of cylinders to form a thickness around the flight light head. To form the holes in the head of the flashlight I used the pipe technique then use Boolean to reverse the form. For the imprint in the handle I use cylinders along with the Boolean command.
I chose the wood material with the 14 karat gold just to give the flash light sophistication. I wanted it to look and appear upscale( I tried) and I also wanted the flashlight to look completely different from any other flashlight on the market. The chrome gives extra light and the grey scale background gives the flashlight more depth.
My inspiration was a product that would serve the wealthy. When I think of wealthy people having flashlights, plastic is not one material that enters my mind. I wanted to create a flashlight I thought wealthy people would have in their home. I could be wrong, Bill gates could own tons of flashlights from target.
