Storm Sampson: Week 3 Mouse

Originally, when the mouse project was presented I wanted to create a simple sleek mighty mouse design that resembled the apple design. In the end, I decided to take the challenge of creating the old school curvy mouse. I intended it to look like a bulky 90's mouse but also wanted it to look sharp and clean.

Rather than making a mouse with the typical dome shape, I used the curves create a spot for your thumb and left click area. I piped both sides of the mouse and used booleandifference to create the indent you see on the right side. I projected curves on the mouse to create a right and left button piece.

While working in keyshot, I stumbled across the shiny yellow plastic which made my mouse resemble the classic smiley face. So, we now have a two faced mouse. If you look at it from the left click side it looks like a happy smiley face with a red tongue. When you look at it from the opposite angle it appears to have a frown and a tear which is actually just the right clicker.
