Nathan Beck: Week#4 Flashlight

I recently read an article about a giant squid washed up on the shore in Japan. This was no hoax, it was real. In thinking about my flashlight, I wanted to create a piece of art that could be taken on the go. Being inspired from the giant squid and organic shape, I choose to create tentacles and bubbles covering my flashlight.

I used InterpCrvSr tool to create the tentacles wrapping the flashlight. The bubble were creates out of spheres and the tubes at the top and bottom were torses. I boolean differenced the cylinder and added a lens for a light.

I choose to make this plastic for durability and weight. This flashlight can be dropped and taked anywhere. Since it was a fun design, I choose bright colors.
