Jace McDill Week 2: Duck Fishing Bobber

As I approached designed this duck shaped product i tried to think on something that I had not seen attempted before while still being something that interested me. With the initial shape being a sphere I was inspired to create a fishing bobber because I am an avid fisherman and VP of the SCAD Fishing club. I wanted to create a semi realistic duck figure while still allowing the product to read as a bobber.

I used Mainly cylinders and spheres to compose my model while also incorporating a few pipes. I formed the shapes my manipulating control points and using the rebuild command to make it more efficient. I also used the split command so i could put color into the appropriate areas.

Once in keyshot I wanted my model to look like a bobber while still incorporating duck like colors.
Therefor the main colors are red and white like traditional bobbers while the duck figure has greens, browns, and black for the eyes. All of the materials i used are plastics because that is what bobbers are made of, aside from the small metal pin that hold the line in plac atop the cylinder in the middle.
