Tyler Parton/ Winter 2014/ ELDS 205/ Hammer

I wanted to create a sleek looking toy hammer for kids. I added the wrist ban to help kids hold on to the toy. Modeling the tube to be on ground plane proved difficult.

I choose red plastic for the material of the hammer head to be part of a set with plastic nails. I used leather for the strap. I used metallic paint for the lettering to emphasis the detail

I found the back plate and tried to orientate my ground plane with the picture. The lighting environment matched with florescent pattern. I tried to set the focal point to blur the background.
