Brendan Faulkner: Week 6, Atlantina Foundery AKA The Lost Ring of Atlantis....

This project was a fun one to work on. I had difficulty on the main peace of the ring and had to go though six different types of styles before I could figure out what to use.I used the commands Boolean Difference , polar array, and fillet Edges often as well as some other commands.  Overall I thought this project tested my skills and ability to again seance we must print off these rings.

The design concept for this ring formed around my love of the lost city of Atlantis. the main center peace of the ring is the signet of the city used to make an an signet onto wax to seal an envelope.

This ring would have been used by Atlantian who would seal a document for authenticity. The ring has a beautifully placed, deep blue sapphires on ether side and in the center of the insignia. 24kt gold band holds the gems in place. A copper top setting shows contrast and independence from the band making it the focal point of the peace.
