Maria Samperio Week6: Ring

I simply created an tube and pipe a helix a curve of 1/3 turns, then Boolean difference a cylinder so the inner part of the ring would be flat and ergonomic to the finger. For the tentacles I use boolean2objects unifying a cylinder with a torus object. Finally I use Onsurface, ArrayPolar and rotation commands to place the tentacles around the ring creating a natural placement of tentacles.  After the shape was complete, I used booleanunion to hollow out a similar shape so the ring was wearable. I then fillet'd all the edges to give it a smooth finish.

While in keyshot, I was trying to focus on a clean gleaming golden look that was boho and chic looking. All the ring is made by gold 24K I tried to offer several different views that showed the dynamic shape of my ring. I used some of the passes in Photoshop to get a more intense gloss look in the end.

The two big elements of composition are the repetition and variation of tentacles, as seen withy the camouflage of the Octopus. Most rings purpose are use as symbols, one of the octopus symbols reflected in spiral is represented as "the expanding counsiusness and the ongoing creative process of the universe".
