Zachary Botwick: Week 6 Ring

For this project we were asked to make a ring.  For my design I was intending on creating a two finger piece of jewelry. Something that would be very flashy to wear, but without using any diamonds or stones. I call this the King Ring. The overall shape resembles a stereotypical crown.

To make the top of the ring, I made a rectangle. I made a star and extruded it. I then duplicated this star a few times, and lined them up on the top of the rectangle. I used boolean difference to create the voids. I then used chamfer edge and fillets for various accents. I used boolean union to join the two rings to the top piece.

For materials, I used 24k gold. I chose gold because the King Ring is fit for royalty. Using multiple materials is completely unnecessary. Gold is the only material needed to get my point across.
