Chia Yu Lu Week 6: Ring

For this project I got my inspiration from Japanese family crest.in begging I was thinking of design on for my own crest but latter on I decided to use the logo of my father’s company. The reason that the ring is named Wan-An is also because it is the name of my father’s company. By just putting the image on to the surface of the ring wasn't as ideal as I imaging, so I multiply it by three and create a pattern to make more interest.
I draw a circle in the begging and use it to make a surface. Unroll surface allows me to put the pattern and then I use flow along surface to complete it. This time fillet edge took lots of time due to numbers of the edges I got.
With rendering I had more abject on environment this time. It took me a while to play with the lighting and the reflections. The colors I chooses were the Gold 24k, Steel knurled #1, Nickel brushed, Anodized brushed yellow #1, and Aluminum square mesh.
